Helth for All
India has biggest population in the world with a large number of primary health care centers though they are not sufficient to cater the health services requirement as they are operating above their capacity. Each primary health center suppose to serve a population of 25,000 people but in most of the states a primary health center covers a population range of 45000 to 90,000 people. On top of it becomes more difficult to cater in hilly, desert & rural areas of the country because in these areas a family may need to travel 10 – 20 kilometers to reach the nearest PHC center.
If any citizen manages to reach Primary health centers many of them have a shortfall of doctors, as per a report 25000 PHC’s in the country has a shortfall of around 9000 Doctors and as per an estimate there are more than 2000 PHC’s which don’t have a single doctor.
Since management of public health centers and patient care primarily depends on physicians the absence of doctors indicates in itself that many primary health care centers are ill managed and ill equipped to deliver any effective health care services.
JanSewadriver Party see a way forward to improve the healthcare sector and round the clock access of quality & efficacy healthcare facility by empowering the existing PHC’s network as well raising new facilities with the state of art equipment’s and medical staff including the paramedical services.
Jansewa Driver Party also believes to cater rural areas a weekly health camp must be organized on regular basis, so people don’t need to face difficulty to access the health facility.
